Well in people food you should not feed chocolate to them, it is toxic, any poultry bones, they splinter very easily...as far as dog food goes I would not feed anything Iams, they do test on animals and you can do a google search and find that out first hand, it is terrible what they do, feeding too much wet food can lead to tooth decay, so I feed my pup Nutros naturals large breed formula...it's not tested on animals, it's preserved with vitamin E which lots of other pet foods are preserved with 2 preservatives that have been found to cause health problems with dogs down the road...I'm sorry I cannot remember the names. Pretty much what you buy at a pet store is better quality than store brand foods. Yes you pay a little more but your dog is healthier and the food is less filler and more of the good stuff they need.

You really should not feed dogs human foods in general. If you are going to give them a little bit of human food, make it plain chicken or turkey- nothing else. If you are asking about dog food- Ol' Roy and Kibbles and Bits aren't the best food- go with a higher quality food such as Science Diet, which they sell at most pet stores.

Chocolate is extremely toxic to dogs, but human food in general isn't good for them either.
It's bad for them and shortens their life and they have more chances of becoming overweight and lazy, and makes them beg for food at the dinner table. They have really good dog foods with like vitamins and vegetables and healthy meats in them :]

chocolate or onions, they can't digest either one of those things. You definitely don't want to feed them to much bacon especially with a lot of bacon grease. It makes them have the squirts.

ive been told not to feed dogs chocolate, grapes, raisins/sultanas, chilli, capsicum, onion. or anything with seeds.
also recently, i ran out of our regular dog food from the vet and bought "my dog" from the supermarket, the vet was not impressed when i told him. he said its like giving my pup lollies for dinner! so for nutrients, supermarket dog food cannot compare to vet branded food.
