Other people already gave good examples like mwah or xoxo.
But how about using Japanese emoticons?
Even though they don't have words sometimes, you can still get the message across to the person you're texting.
How about this one for kiss? (*^)(*^ -^)<3
More examples:
-to show happiness: \(^o^)/
or anger: (x.x(O=(-_-#)

I'm not sure if your phone has this or not, but usually in the text message there is an option under "Abc" called "Symbols" where you can find the parentheses and slashes to make these emoticons.

Well of course if the teen is their child. Most teens will say no. All decent parents will say yes. A family court judge will say Yes. Even if the kid bought and pays for the phone and the service. IF the kid is living in the parents house, the kid has nothing..it all is legally the parents'.

If you guys use yahoo msn sometimes kiss icon shows up by typing :-* so he should know what it means, but only if u guys use this messenger. In hotmail messenger for example you type (K) and kiss icon shows up, so it varies. Easier to show him heart by <3
