Alot would depend on the type of pill, if it is just an immidiate release tablet or capsule, then there is no problem really with chewing or crushing it before taking it, if the pill has some form of extended release, delayed release, or controlled release properties then you will not get the full benefit of the pill, alot depends on the properties of the medication. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about the specific medication to see if chewing it is ok.

No, in fact, it can be quite toxic to "eat" a pill, if you mean by chewing. Some pills are meant to get into the lower intestine before they disolve for correct effect.

I wouldnt think so. The pill needs to be insinde your stomach. If you eat a pill it wont do the same thing as you eating the pill
