Don't underestimate the joys of fatherhood. They can be as great as the mother's joy.
What a wonderful time in life. You are blessed that your baby's father is so happy with his child.

Nope. I'm afraid that is pretty normal for men. Especially if it is the first boy. They are in awe for 2 reasons; a) they are amazed they made another human being and b) it's a boy!! Talk about a chest-puffer-upper!! Hits them right in the ego. Hope this helps and congrats!!!

Be glad! This is a great way for your DH and DS to bond. That bond will last a lifetime. It will help when your son needs the advice, discipline, and character guidance of his father. Babies that bond to their fathers respond better to discipline and guidance. It builds an inner trust and closeness that can never be disolved. Fathers that bond to their babies feel a better sense of control , importance, and value to themselves and their lives.

It also give you a chance to relax and rest!
