colds are a virus and you just have to wait it out and treat the systems like your stuffy nose, get some menthol rub, rub it on your hands really good then wash off really good, then take a breath of your hands. I found that out after rubbing my husband's achy shoulders.
Sore throat. I have 2 good ones for that: 1) pour a very small amount (2tbsp) of vinegar into a small juice glass and fill the glass to half way with water and gargle, letting the mixture get as far down into your throat as possible. It works! This will rid you of your sore throat!
2)Mix grapefruit juice and baking soda. cold juice 8 oz. glass with a quarter teaspoon of baking soda,(not too much baking soda as it will fizz over the top of the glass) awwww feels so good.
Drink lots of water to flush your system.
With the flu you will have a fever, achy muscles and you just want to stay home.
A cold is an inconvenience.
Take care to wash your hands lots of times during the day. Oh, snot is one of the most contagious things. Teach your kids to wash their hands too.

Hard to say, "sore throat and stuffy nose" is a common first sign of sickness in general, though it's likely just a cold.

This is not flu season, so it's unlikely to be a flu. Either a cold or a virus.

It could be anything from strep throat, to allergies, to a cold. Tell your parents what your symptoms are and they can buy you some allergy meds (Claritin-D) or something for a cold (NyQuil or DayQuil).

Maybe you got it, maybe you didn't. In the future, make sure you wash your hands throughout the day, as most germs are transferred hand to mouth.
