Last week in Laredo Texas 3 trucks were found to have large shipments of drugs, 1 truck was hauling a number of illegals and 1 truck was turned back because the driver couldn't read. The scary thing is they claim they can't check but a small percentage of trucks.
Happy NAFTA

In our fantasy world, government would care about the best interest of the citizens.
In this world big corporations pull the strings.
Drugs are big business. The guy that got shot in the butt(by Campeon and Ramos) has a CDL to haul hazardous material. Scary thought since the cargo won't be checked.
NAFTA should stopped, it has been bad for us.

I read about 3 truckloads of illegals being caught within a short period in the same truck which the owner was allowed to send someone to pick up without coming in person - only the third time were they looking for the owner. http://azdailysun.com/articles/2007/09/01/news/20070901_front%20page_9.txt

And last year, more ominously, I read of smuggling in the back of one of the 'trusted trade partners' particularly focussed on by the new truck program and SPP. Yet they are moving forward.

And with all the money in drugs, do you really think the cartels won't get a piece of this? I can see them holding back for the 'trial' period, but not longer. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2003844537_border20.html?syndication=rss

Our government doesn't care about reality, or, public opinion. Truly.
