No disrespect, but Great White was NEVER any kind of blues band, hard rock or otherwise. Their big song, "Once Bitten Twice Shy" was a rocking shuffle, written by the English singer/songwriter Ian Hunter. Check out Ian's version, w/Mick Ronson's fiery guitar work for a real taste of guitar theory. Ronson was always thinking of the song first, not the solo.
There are some hard rocking blues players though. Chris Duarte, Popa Chubby, Guitar Shorty, Tommy Castro, Dave Hole, and Tinsley Ellis are good starting points.....they can all rock and play the blues. Not to mention, they're respected in the blues/rock community

Led Zeppelin is probably the best blues rock band of all time but here's a few other ones:
Allman Brothers Band
Cream
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble
Aerosmith
ZZ Top

Led Zeppelin (particularly the first 2 albums for rock-blues). They have never been matched in that field, let alone beaten.
