My existing shower is tile but the job was poorly done and i´d like to remove all the existing tile and put new tile. My question is what is the process for removing the tile and how easy is it to retile the shower. The tiles are floor to ceiling. And is it feasable to install the glass tile that are small squares, i love those.

You can tap the existing tiles with a hammer to break them loose. You will have to scrap the hardened thinset & remaining tile off the wall. If the tile is put up on hardi board or wonder board it might be damaged & have to be replased as well. the small squares usually come on a sheet & are resonably to install.

I too, am going to be tiling a shower, but am afraid that I won't get it watertight first. I don't think the actual tiling process will be too hard. The real reason I'm answering is to your question about the small square tiles. I just got done tiling my kitchen backsplash in this type of tile. They come on a mesh backing in 1 foot squares. Very easy to do. As long as you space the edges correctly, you'll never be able to see where one sheet ends and the next starts. It turned out beautifully and I did it all by myself with no prior experience. The tiles are pretty spendy though...I bought mine through Ebay which saved alot of money. I would highly recommend these glass mosaic tiles.

Tape and mud the corners when you have the tile removed. Use thin set as your mud and the mesh tape. That is where it always cracks. Make sure you cover the drain before you start removing tiles. And when you grout, dont do too big an area, because it is sometimes difficult to remove.
