Yes you can freeze it but don't forget, you will be taking away part of the flavour, and if you need a cheese "fix" quickly you can microwave it for a few seconds back to room temperature however, I prefer NOT to recommend it. You cannot beat fresh produce!

Yes yes yes, if you are freezing cheese, gr8 it first or cut it but once it comes out the freezer it is crumbly and can't gr8 properly, also easier if you put the amount you would norm use in little bags... One serving portion kinda thing. same with cheese sauce don't freeze the whole lot together. Put it in plastic bags tied tight and freeze flat on a shelf this way thay take up less room in the freezer, you can do the same with left over wine..... to use in cooking later.

Yes, you can. Divide up into portions then you only take out what you need. You can also grate cheese before freezing, then you don't have to wait for it to thaw before using. I grate parmesan and keep it in the freezer.
I've never frozen cheese sauce, but I should think it's OK, there are plenty of ready meals which have cheese sauce.

Hard cheese (no pun intended) Yes
Soft cheese - No
Anything that has been cooked with cheese freezes okay.
Some people have given sage advice on freezing hard cheese i.e. grate it first and use it as you need it.
Happy cheesing.

you can freeze cheese but it does alter it a little ,makes it more crumbly, grating it first then putting in a bag is allways handy especially as you like to make cheese sauce.

yes but when you slice it it falls apart.
i grate it as already suggested.
recipe..
welsh rarebit. two tablespoons of any flour. make into a rue with a small amount of milk. grate 1lb cheese add.. add quarter pint o milk. on low heat, stir in brown ale gradually (as much as necessary to keep a stiffish consistency). pepper. marjoram if you wish. simmer for a few minutes.
spread on toast. freeze any left over. nicer than cheese on toast.

Yes, but for ease of use - grate it first, and then you can take it out as you need it, not in a whole block.Just shake it around a few times while freezing, like ice.
