veggie dogs. They are basically tofu. Or if you don't eat pork or tofu, try making your own sausages, chicken sausages work. Or buy them. Drizzle mustard on top (if you want). Or add caramelized onions. But something that everyone will hopefully like, will probably be fried veggies. For the fried vegetables, all you do is take a pan, add some olive oil (any oil you want, but olive oil works best), grill your veggies, add soy sauce (not tooo much), and serve ontop of you hot dog. It's what i call an asian hot dog.

Without adding things to make the outside of your dogs taste better, why not add flavor to the inside of your dog. Just prick your weiner with a fork all over and allow it to absorb your favorite marinade. Soak it in Italian dressing or green jalapeno sauce. Let it swim over night in a dry white wine and mustard bath. Puree shallots or vidalia onions and squeeze out the juice for it to marinade in. Any liquid will add flavor. If it is to thick, such as bbq sauce then add a little water or juice.
Try a dry rub on the outside before grilling. Or add liqiud to the rub and let it marinade in it.

I love the vegetarian hot dogs made by Sanitarium (in Australia). People I have given them have not noticed the difference except for there being no "skin"., they just think they are skinless dogs. They taste very nice and don't have all the fat and nasty mystery body-parts ingredients (no pork) in them. I like hot dogs with hot mustard, sauerkraut, fried onion, grated cheddar and tomato sauce. yum!

Add stuff like pickles, for eg Branston pickle, honey mustard, freshly diced onions, cucumber slices, tomatoes, lettuce, German mustard, melted Cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, paprika, Bolognese sauce with minced beef, tomato ketchup and chilli sauce, Thai sweet sauce, etc. to your chicken or turkey hot dog. The choice is yours to make! Enjoy! {:-)

They make good beef weiners in natural casings. Besides the regular ketchup and/or mustard and/or pickle relish, think about making a chili cheese dog with onion.
