If price is not an issue, in descending order Qantas, Virgin Blue then the rest. I would only fly Deathstar if arrival time did not matter. They have a habit of cancelling flights.

There are mainly two domestic Airlines in Australia. Virgin Blue and Jet Star which is a low cost subsidiary airlines of Qantas. The national airline Qantas also flies to some domestic destinations. On Virgin Blue you get alloted seats while on Jet Star you can sit where ever you like.On Jet Star first families board , then early check ins , then after late check ins. But service quality wise Virgin Blue is better.

Qantas for domestic - a little pricier, but will get you almost anywhere you want to go. Good service domestically - tho I've been consistently disappointed (even ashamed) of their international service standards.

If your budget is super tight and you are not heading for out-of-the-way places - Virgin Blue would be my pick. I would NEVER choose to fly Jetstar after two lousey experiences.
Cheap, yes. Good Value - not a chance.

I totally agree with what "The Mouse" said. Virgin Blue or Qantas. JetStar is a poor airline, and remember that Virgin Blue may not fly to all the destinations you are interested in.

Virgin Blue is Cheaper, but it's unlikely you will get meals and the locations you can get too will be more limited. Qantas will get you MOST places, but will be more expensive. Naturally, you will get full airline services (like meals, etc). Other Airlines are not generally adviseable, but don't steer entirely cear of them if you look at times and find them most convenient. If you CAN choose though, probably Virgin Blue.

Qantas or its subsidiary Jetstar. I have had excellent service with both. Jetstar is usually cheaper as it is a budget airline but stick to the baggage allowance - they always charge for excess baggage. I do not fly Virgin Blue for political reasons. Its part owner Corcoran is the thug who brought the rotweilers onto the wharves in Australia. I would rather walk than give him any money.

Qantas / Jetstar / Virgin / Kendell. All of them are good but price would go to Virgin or Jetstar but the on board service is basic but that could be said of Qantas as well.

If you're looking for service then Qantas. If you're looking at price then Jetstar.

Years ago, Dad knew a man who was well known around town as "Hydraulic" Jack, because he'd lift (steal) anything that wasn't cemented into the ground. There's also a guy called "budgie boy" cause he looks like a budgie. Edit: Great minds think alike :)

If you are travelling to anywhere but major capital cities or very large regional centres, then there is no choice. You get to fly with the ONLY carrier who goes there. If its a multi service airport then generally i go Jetstar.
