According to Allstate Insurance Company's back to school survey of more than 50 police departments and municipal courts across the Lone Star State, the average tally in Texas for speeding in a school zone is $202.

It will be double whatever it normally would be since it's in a school zone. Where I live it would probably be around 1 or 200 bucks.
Slow Down in school zones, kids are stupid and can run out in front of you at any given time.

At one time in Las Vegas, it was a $1000 for every mph you went over the speed limit. It has been reduced now, it was found to be excessive. Now it is something like either $500 or $100 for every mph over the limit.

In Texas, I don't know, but it will be fairly stiff. Now you know, don't speed in school zones.

good luck.
