So I've had really bad headaches for a really long time. I have a headache going on its ninth day stratight now. Aspirin, Tylenol, and store-brand drugs don't work; Advil barely works; I can't find any headache cures that work for longer than a day or two, tops. Sometimes I have to go lie down they're so bad. This has been going on for almost a year and a half. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

I would recommend you try chiropractic treatment or an acupuncturist. Both of these professionals have really good results on removing headaches. you've suffered for too long and it needs to be resolved. I've enclosed a link were you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

Sounds like you may be having a migraine.
See your Dr. and ask him/her to refer you to a Neurologist.
They are the experts when it comes to headaches and pain.
Once you get checked out (they may do an MRI of your head) and nothing is found to be causing the headaches, your Dr. can prescribe a preventative medication that you can take, in addition to something for when you actually have the headache. Also, it would be a good idea to keep a headache diary. Note the dates, times, intensity of the pain, what you ate, activities, your cycles, etc. and take this with you to the Dr. This will help them in getting down to what the problem is too.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; WORRY, spicy food, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, cocoanut water, salads, milk, rice and good sleep will help you. You will have to note down what suits and what not.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

They say a huge glass of Gatorade will usually do the trick. If this doesnt do the trick, do see your doctor. It could be something really simple, or it could be something serious. Good Luck.
