To help others- it's simple really.
"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the creative light of altruism or the darkness of destructive selfishness. This is the judgment. Life's persistent and most urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?"
Martin Luther King Jr.

I think we are here for a purpose but many don't realize it or become profund about their life, I sometimes find it hard to figure out why life can be so difficult and complicated, but I think we are here to be tested and we must've done something wrong obviously, with all the problems we are seeing in the world, global warming, etc., we are here for a short while to know the truth about why we're here and then do our best, based on that knowledge but we must discover it and find the truth, we are here to work hard and see if we pass the final test and make it to a better place.

When you read the Bible there seems to be a separation of good and evil and light and dark going on from the Garden of Eden until the end of this present age. This world was created just for that purpose and will be replaced with a new Heaven and Earth when it is completed at the end of Jesus' 1000 year reign. God wants fellowship with the ones that will choose, of their own free will, to come to Him through Jesus Christ.

I can't believe no one knows the answer to this. It's obviously...

42

Me being a fan of ASCII code am able to accept 42 as the answer. My YA! screen name is ASCII for the "space" character. A space in a sentence can also be seen as a an empty space and in the geek world represents Nirvana or Emptiness.

In ASCII, 42 is the * (asterisk) which in most areas of computing represents a wild card that can match any character or sequence of characters.

42 is the answer and it can be and is any answer that any of you can come up with. Even if your answer comes from a work of fiction written by ppl that lived in the desert 2k years ago.

When someone tells me that God just moved in around the corner, I'll go visit and ask Him, and until that happens, I'll make up my own mind about what the reason for life or anything else is, and I advise you to do the same. There is no reason not to listen to someone Else's view/interpretation of life the bible or whatever... but always remember if it isn't their view/interpretation, then they are parroting someone Else's view/ interpretation from who knows what century, and at best if they have researched, read, studied, and lived long enough, and it is their own, IT'S STILL NOT YOURS. Live your own life, grow strong, believe, because you believe. God Bless you and best wishes.....

rofl.. no, they're just making things up because its comfortable. Besides, who says there's a reason? That would imply intelligence when there is none. You are an animal, just like every other person on this planet. We live because we live. Thats all. There is nothing special about humanity.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (King James Version)

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him.

James 1:5 {Modern King James}

the reason for life is to live it. that's all. Watch the animals - that's what they do. Some people try to invent a higher purpose, but the natural reason for all life is just to live.
