Your Mindfulness grows...you are aware of Life and aware that others share it and that it is indeed beautiful..Life is Life .. there is no need for agreement for it is there to be witnessed .. I see that there are still some who have answered above who cannot share your awareness because of ignorance .. be not dismayed .. forgive them their ignorance as I do...this will negate the Karma they ignorantly generate by their unwise actions in thoughts and the unwise deeds of their words ..

Allow me a smile for your awareness and happiness...such a gift you have freely given far outweighs such negative Karma...you have generated positive consequence which is yet to be felt by your positive Actions...such consequence will have further consequence...you are wise to generate such...I bow to this wisdom...

Allow me to welcome you to humanity as the curtain of wisdom draws open and delusion fades from memory...you are worthy as all are worthy..It is a pleasure to know such a one ... /bows/ ... Christian or otherwise, all have the opportunity you exhibit...choice...to thus choose wisely for the good and benefit of others .. unity ... such wisdom ... such selflessness in the face of such opposition as exhibited above ... Wisdom with Mindfulness, awareness with equanimity ... your awareness grows ... I smile ...

A Buddhist...

Mother Earth? I don't think of it as Mother Earth or Mother nature...It is God's creation and I deeply appreciate it and the gift of life.

Regardless of it's source? The source of life means everything. I will not hold hands with anyone and dance around a tree, unless they understand who made that tree. I respect your right to choose what you believe but I don't have to condone your way of thinking. Worship Mother Eath with you? No way.

Can we both appreciate the world and it's beauty. Of course we can. But when you know who made it, there is so much more to be happy about.

From a Christian point-of-view, the real issue is that I have opened my heart and my mind to the love and mercy of the one true God, and have accepted salvation of my eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus. Yes, I know that that's a hard statement for some people to understand. The simple fact is that when I accepted Christ into my life, I was a spiritual infant. And, like an infant, I had to learn a LOT about what it meant to hold Christ in my life. Spiritual growth is very much like physical growth. Many times, it's by trial and error. And, thankfully, many times it's by good example and fellowship. Yes, many people share many or most of the social traits that you mention. The HUGE difference for the individual is the outcome for the soul.

If history is any sort of a guide at all:

No.

No we can't.

Believers in religion X and Believers in religion Y can't even get passed their (relatively) minor differences. I mean, you would think that both people believing in an invisible skygod would be enough of a similarity, but apparently if both don't agree on minutia like what to eat and when to eat it then that's a good enough reason for warfare.

What makes you think that jumping from Believers to Non-believers is ever going to be any easier?

Gift of life? Gift implies a giver, which implies theistic nonsense.

Love is chemicals, and the Earth is a fortunate assemblage of elements (due to gravity) which happened to spawn conscious life. Why should I be grateful for what is simply the result of random chance?

Please pass the Dramamine.

In brief, he who has love has God. Many people think they love and they do not love nor do they know they do not love. Love is transforming. God is love. This is according to the infallible word of God known as the bible. Our agreement needs to be in the truth. We can agree in anything but that does not make it good. We do not have to agree to co-habitate in peace in the world. But to walk as one in unity we need to agree. The earth was made by God the Father who raised Jesus Christ from the dead as the once offered holy and perfect sacrifice for all humanity who will believe it. (faith) So, earth is not a mother. Earth did not create itself nor offspring; certainly not me and you. There is a devil and the devil influences people. Our gratitude is to the one God who created man.

Definitely, Mother Earth is our home, with all her beauty and her capability to transform herself every season, teaching us the lesson of getting up in our lives every time we fall and just to keep on going. :) and what better example of the gift of life than we a baby is born, that indeed is beautiful :)

Your thought of love is beautiful I believe in free will and I believe in God, but if we could love one another despite of our beliefs, that would be a heaven on earth.

All is united, it has never been otherwise but I did not know that for a very long time, my thoughts kept getting in the way of reality.
