Yes, I want a girl to care about how she looks. However, that is not the most important thing to me. Where do all the smart girls go. All I can find is dumb girls at the bars and parties. Do smart girls not like to party or what? I have limited success talking to and hooking up with dumb girls. Unfortunately, my sense of humor doesn't really translate to them so I can't make any real connection. Where are all of the smart girls hanging out at?

I know smart girls are in college. I also know that they work hard. So do I and I like to party still. Women don't really go to the library to pick up men do they?

Smarts girls will be doing things that they care about.
A political girl would be at a protest/rally. If you like that type of girl, then find out when a protest is going to happen and attend (There's apparently a huge one going on later this month, on the weekend of the 29th at Washington D.C. But only if you actually care about the issue! Don't just show up to pick up girls. That makes you seem shallow.).
A girl who loves knowledge would be at a library, coffee shop, or bookstore. Try making a comment on what she's reading (Especially if you have also read it, too! Nothing is more intriguing to a smart girl than a man who has an opinion and likes to debate! It's a challenge to her.).
Artsy girls would attend an art exhibition or be visiting a gallery. If you spot a girl that you like, try talking to her and asking about her opinion of a painting to make conversation. Find out who her favorite painters are and why.
To interest any of those girls, you have to show that you have a genuine interest in what they are all about. Smart girls won't chase a guy for his abs (even if they are amazing...). They'll appreciate them, but they also want a man who has an opinion to compliment that six-pack.

Take a good look at yourself!! Are you a "2" or a "9"? It really is true that beauty is inside the person. I have noticed a lot of men who are 2's think they deserve girls that are 10's. You may have to make a choice about what is most important to you--looks or smarts. Maybe you need to find girls in a different setting. Try looking where the type of girls you want would hang out. They don't hang out in bars or dance clubs!

Coffeeshops, bookstores, farmer's markets, concerts, indie movies, museums etc... Your best bet might be mutual friends as in your buddy's sister's classmates and so on like that. Don't forget work connections either, not suggesting an office romance necessarily but there should be chances to meet women with similar education and interests as you. Just be yourself and eventually you will cross paths with the right girl for you.

Just because their smart doesn't mean they don't like shopping and stuff. But usually they aren't at the bars and the parties, their at the diners and the libraries, sports events....

Not at bars and parties. Just a guess but really smart girls are probably our building their lives and careers and don't have time to party all the time. If you don't like the taste of chicken leave the henhouse silly.

Well, we generally don't hang out at parties or bars because we're to smart to drink.
If you want to find an area with smart girls, try the library, nursing home (volunteers), or at jobs that require intellectual thinking. (you normally don't find smart woman working at McDonalds)

Some smart girls may be too busy to go clubbing every weekend. Maybe you should change your venues to more 'up market' wine bars, then you might find more classy ladies.
