i have to climb in the passengers side to go in and unlock it which is a huge pain. any suggestions?

most likely the plastic clip on the lock cylinder has detached from the lock actuator rod. the door trim panel will have to be removed for access. if the clip is broken a new one can be obtained from the dealer or a salvage yard.. lock cyl replacement generally is not necessary..

try a shot of WD 40 Its not safe to drive . get to a dealer or locksmith
