Im thinking about applying at American Eagle for a job after the new year, Im gonna be able to work there during the weekdays because i have another job that im going to maintain during the weekends. Would this work, i mean would they hire me with that circumstance? Also, what do they pay in Georgia, and what discounts/benefits do they offer for employees?

My store hires people for the winter and holiday season around October. They need a lot of people during the weekends but then again, that's everybody's availability. The chances are that you're not going to get much hours or shifts in because everyone puts the weekend as their availability. I usually get shifts that are on average four hours long once or twice a week, seriously.

They pay minimum wage. There's a chance to get raises based on your performance evaluations. This usually is a quarter or two. Discounts are 50% off of selected stuff from the new sets for about a month or so, 25% off things that are on sale or on clearance, and 40% off of everything else.

Those kind of companies usually need people for the weekends especially. Since that is the busiest time of the week. I used to work retail, and I was always needed on the weekends. But it never hurts to ask, maybe they can work something out for you. Talk directly to the manager and tell him/her your circumstance.

As for getting a job like that after the New Year, It's going to be hard to get a retail job right after Christmas since they hired everyone around October - December for the holidays. Try to apply some time next month and look out for the Now Hiring signs . Stores here in San Antonio, TX start hiring for the holidays around late October.

As of for the pay, I know here in Texas AE starts you out at 8.50 an hour. I'm not sure of the perks or the pay in Georgia but it's probably pretty much in the 7-8.00 range everywhere.

If you want a Monday-Friday job I'd recommend an office job or a school district job. I'm currently going to school to become a high school teacher and I work M-F 7-4 at the school district I'm going to be a teacher at.

You could call and ask one of the employees what their perks are. Again, it never hurts to ask.
Good Luck on your job hunt.
