All right, so, my GF decided that she's gonna put the relationship on pause, but, we don't even really know what the hell that means for either of us, but we don't want to completely break up.... It's also really hard to deal with it too. She acts completely different when it's just us then when we're around her friends at school....

She also has seemingly good reasons for this pause.
1) She wants to be able to kiss me in public
2) She wants too be able to talk to me better (About what's going on with her if she's having problems)
3) And she wants too be a better listener.
She said it could last from a few weeks too two and a half years, but, I dunno, it's still just really hard....

I am sorry to tell you because of my own experience that when somebody tell you to put on a pause a relationship is because he/her does not want to tell you that is not interested in you anymore. I hope I am mistaken in your case but I doubt it. When you love someone you do not want to be on pause, on the contrary, you want to be all the time with the person you love. I think may be she is going out with somebody else. Think the worst, the worst you think the less it will hurt when you finally realize that one week and another week and another week have elapsed and she is not going back to you. She's just not that in to you. If a person meets someone worthwhile in their eyes, they won't want a pause. They will want to be with that person and do nothing that might jepardize their relationship. It sounds to me like she's unsure of you. I know that isn't pleasant to think about, but she wants a break. Guys say that when they mean, "I want to be without YOU".

wow i say dump her. she is clearly doing something exspecially since she said it'll take a couple weeks to 2 1/2 years? thats pathetic. and a pause means to breakup but when she wants to be back with u, to just start up were u left off. means more partners, sex with differnet people, doing what she wants. dump her.

She's being incredibly immature, she doesn't want you, but she wants to stop you being with anyone else. It's a disgracefu way to treat someone.
