How Many People know their Congressman and Senators names and addresses?

Instead of bitching in here call, write to, e-mail, fax or visit your local office.
They do listen but you need to contact them!

I not only know them I have saved them into my email contacts. I wish everybody would, if your legislators do not hear from their voting base the only voices they hear are from big business and lobbyists.

I send them a blast routinely on matters of importance to me. Sometimes they blow me off and sometimes I get a staffer who sends me something back. Bitching here is a good I think. Here or on a blog or a letter to the editor or a phone survey.

When I was really ticked because they were charging out of state tuition to armed forces personnel but not to illegal aliens I sent the local political parties a black paper fax with white lettering. I also sent a brick back to a political party that asked for donations with a "postage guaranteed" stamp.

Try it sometime. It is very theraputic.

I write, fax and call at least a couple times per month. Sometimes you get a human most the time you leave a message.

I routinely send an email "slap" to my Congressman and Senators. I also try to show up at their "town hall" meetings when they are back in my state.

If more people would do this they might eventually wake up to the fact that they are supposed to represent us and not themselves.

Thats true. If everyone would write a letter to there congressmen, they can't ignore all the letters.

Man, you're right, keep on with that message it's great. Get normal people involved in politics, thats what it's going to take to get America back where it belongs. Too many people don't feel inclined to do anything more than complain.

for people who're prepared to apply their own words, it is extra compelling, i think of. as quickly as team determines this is a style letter, i think of they decrease value it somewhat. I somewhat have written to my congressmen, besides, yet using diverse words. besides the fact that, i admire the 'individuals would be sceptical' bit, because of the fact boy can we ever. i'm going to thieve that section subsequent time I write.

I write mine all the time and they do respond, I may not like their answer, but they or their staff do answer.
