I don't know if I should cut up the rest and tupperware the individual slices or if I should just cover the whole thing in foil? Is it better in the fridge, freezer, or on the counter?
It was baked today and I am sure it will be eaten by the end of the week, I just don't want it to get bad or stale!

i usually wrap it up in aluminium foil, and put it in the refrigerator but around here the midnight snackers get to it way before it has time to go bad. lol

French Apple Pie

Freeze this pie unbaked for best results. Wrap it well in freezer wrap, then label and freeze. To thaw and bake, place frozen pie on a cookie sheet. Cover loosely with foil and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake 35-40 minutes longer until the pie crust and topping are golden and the apples are tender. Let cool and serve.

If you want to freeze your pies, make as usual but don't cut vents in the crust. I freeze then wrap to avoid damaging the crust. Wrap well. I double-wrap with freezer paper or foil (which can be re-used) then place in a bag.

all the recipes i have ever come across say freeze you pies unbaked because they get very soggy if they are frozen after baking , also they get freezer burn.
they also say a whole uncut pie may be frozen but i have never heard of slices of baked pie frozen.
maybe it works though i dont know.
hope this helps. good luck.

I usually cover with foil and put in fridge. If it starts to get old -do what I do- I break the pie up into smaller pieces, put in bowl, heat and put a scoop of ice cream on top -the kids eat it up!

if it won't be going fast, slice it into individual servings, wrap in plastic or put in sandwich bags, and freeze. Heat in microwave before serving hot with ice cream...

individual slices is best so it can be used as wanted, not wasted.
If you freeze it whole then whole needs defrost etc. so that is harder on good flavor.
In my house it is gone n 1 day.. lol
