There are no drug intereactions between Celexa and Singulair but grapefruit juice should not be consumed when taking these. Celexa is associated with migraine and sinusitis as less common adverse effects. Sinusitis can cause swelling. It might be an edemic reaction (edema) to the corticosteroid Singulair. Call your prescriber's office and have him/her paged. You may be advised to discontinue one or both of the meds until this can be cleared up.

Singulair:

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
skin rash, bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness;

severe sinus pain, swelling, or irritation; or

worsening asthma symptoms.

SWELLING OF YOUR FACE. GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. TAKE THE MEDS WITH YOU.

GO. TURN OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO NOW.

I would ask my doctor to check it out for me!!!!!!!

I once had an allergic reaction to a drug called procainamide when I was recovering from heart surgery and my body weight went from 140 to 105 and my not too observant Cardiologist told me I had the flu! When I finally asked him why does flu last over two months, he finally diagnosed that a reaction to the drug had caused my white cell count to fall from normal range (thousands) to less than 300 units. It had caused the white cell mechanism to shut down!
I spent a wonderful week in isolation curing Neutropenia, at a local hospital and was treated for two months to ensure my system was operating OK again! Needless to say, I have a different Cardiologist!

You have to ask lots of questions sometimes and they aren't as smart as we give them credit for either! It's your life and only you have control over it! So, call your medical professional ask questions and demand answers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. He/she
will be able to tell you and even let you know how severe your reaction is. That is who I call if I have a concern about medicine.
