My 2005 Ford F150 has a fully enclosed boxed frame, is there any other brand of truck that has a fully enclosed boxed frame?

The purpose of the box frame is for ridgitity which ultimately affects ride and handling and how tight the truck is for squeaks and rattles this is why the light duty Ford trucks use them

Most every light truck built since '04 has boxed frame. Toyota has had them for almost twenty years (and still one of the strongest frames on the road). Many frames today are built using the 'hydroform' technique which enables the engineers to design a frame with multiple twists, bends, bulges etc. but in turn makes them almost impossible to repair. Drop by a large auto collision repairer some day and take a peek at the PILE of ruined frames that have been replaced. Is it any wonder it takes so much money and expertise to repair a car these days?

Yeah, Dodge does but ask yourself this question: If a fully enclosed frame is so tough then why does the F350 Ford 1 ton and the F450 1-1/2 ton use a C channel frame?

Some subs perform better in a certain type of enclosure. You should check what enclosures will work with your subs. If your subs can tolerate being in multiple enclosures then you can choose from what music you usually listen to and what sound you want from your sub. There are sound differences between the enclosures as well. Sealed enclosures usually are associated with tight, accurate bass. Bandpass and ported will increase the output of your sub but only at certain frequencies. Ported is usually a good choice for rock because you get more output but lose a little response. This is usually ok for rock songs. Bandpass is usually recommended for deeper bass, such as rap. This is because the enclosure will filter out frequencies below and above a certain level. This allows them to be very efficient in their tuned frequencies, which is why they are louder. They do, however, require MUCH more work to get right over a sealed enclosure and even a ported enclosure. If they are not built correctly the sound will not be good at all. The subwoofer enclosure is a major part of the sound of your system. Simply buying an enclosure off the shelf of a store will more then likely hinder the sound of your system. It can sometimes even damage your subs if they are put in an enclosure they are not meant to be in.

Dodge has a fully enclosed box frame, but Ford reinforces theirs allowing for longer service and more hauling.

The only advantage I can see for a box frame is it would allow a lighter gage steel to be used.
