Well, animals don't have free will, so maybe they're possessed by demons.

What makes you think that all Christians feel that being gay is wrong? I most certainly don't. I think that if God would have wanted us all to be the same then he would have made us all the same. I don't truly think it matters much to him if a person is gay or not. What matters most to him is weather you believe in him. Stereotypes are so typical these days!

a better question would be: if homosexuality is a choice, then why do christian fundies who are the most outspoken against gays, spend so much time and effort doing so in an effort to conceal the fact that they are closet gay when they could just "change" if it were really a "choice"? EDIT: celes, you are right- it SHOULDN'T matter, but from a strategic argumentative standpoint, its a lot easiear to argue against something that is prohibited by your religion as a "chosen vice" than something that is a natural genetic situation people are born with. the "genetic" position- makes the bible look extremely foolish and the god argument as well since there is no legitimate answer to "why does god make people pre determined to act a certain way, then tell them (according to christian mythology) that it is improper for them to be as he/she/it/they made them?"

I know that animals exhibit homosexual behavior, as well as stealing and murder. I think they are just animals, they have base insticts and base behaviors. As humans we are given the gift of being above animals and thus we are called to behave in a moral fashion, following the footsteps of God. We do not act on all of our emotions; if we did there would be chaos. I do not have the understanding to know why homosexuality is sinful, but I know that it is.

If homosexuals would like to be classified as a species of lizard - fine!

But humans are meant for alot stuff found in the animal kingdom like cannibalism- I mean how far are you willing to take that argument?

Any anti-gay Christian I've never know has been ignorant of homosexuality in nature.

There is no such thing as a homosexual animal. That is by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I'm so thankful that I'm not an opponent of sinful lifestyles that I become so patheticly desperate to create false scenarios to justify abominable life choices. Jesus said, "he who is not with me is against me." It is real clear where you stand.
