So the husband ordered a couple of Jack Daniel's and threw his down in one go. His wife watched him, then took a sip from her glass and immediately spat it out.
"Yuck, that's the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted!" she spluttered. "I don't know how you can drink this stuff!"
"Well, there you go," cried the husband. "And you think I'm out enjoying myself every night!"

Both of you have a lot of problems, while it may not be completely true, but when you marry you also marry the family. If neither of you like the others family, you are both in serious trouble. You both need to grow up and learn to look past the b.s. that is if you want your own marriage to succeed. Because believe me if you can't start looking past that stuff, then eventually you'll end up separated and divorced as a result of the family influence on each of you. You need to have a rational conversation with each other about why each of you are feeling the way you are. But you have to keep it rational, without feeling, emotion, getting upset, angry or whatever. Set the ground rules before you start and stick with them. It may take more than one sitting to get through all the feelings, but it will be time well spent.
