I think my son may be taking them & would like to test him- I'm worried-- anybody have an answer? I want to test him w/ a home urine test.

Xanax has a relatively short elimination half life. About 6 hours should be plenty, and less than three days after suspected ingestion.
If you use a home test, make sure he doesn't overdilute his urine. Put a blue sanitizer in the commode to discourage contamination, and tell him not turn the sink on.
I am not sure about the reliability of "home test".

Why are you taking xanax? If you have a script for it, tell them before the test and you will be fine. If you are taking it just because your friends are, you should think twice about it.

What do Xanax and a drug test have to do with each other? It's not illegal, not even if it's not your prescription.

my doctor told me 12hrs-it goes thur your system much faster than valium, which takes 3 days.
