There's prolly more than one match for you in the world.
I dunno what your definition of soul mate is, but there might even be more than one of those.
Lives grow apart sometimes. If a lover has to leave, let her go and start opening up your heart to a new and improved one.

I married my soulmate, and we continue deeply in love after 31 years of marriage.
But the notion that a single soulmate exists who is the only person compatible for mating for life is an exaggeration. Many happy marriages in history were arranged by parents. What is important is that we find a suitable spouse who shares our deepest longings for God, who loves God first of all, and who is thus "love-able." In following God's design for romance, lifelong commitment, intimacy, charity, forbearance, and openness to children, that spouse becomes one's soulmate.

i had stopped believing in the word soulmate coz somehow me and my mate have opposites thoughts abut everything , (and taking joint decisions is sooooooo difficult ) then this guy comes in my life and every interaction is like magic.......so maybe something it there in that word. I like being understood so well and in turn understanding him so well but it cant be a relationship . Yes but i now believe that it can happen , there are some out there with whom you will just gel effortlessly.......God must be having something to do with it. Im just happy to know someone exists just like me , even if it isnt meant to be ( coz im already committed ) but it feels nice to know that im not so much of a miss fit with some one else . I feel normal again.

Yes, I have. I knew the second I met him that we were meant to be together. We spent some time together but then we drifted apart. However, don't get discouraged! We found each other again, 20some odd years later, and we're now married. If things are meant to be it will all work out in the end.

that makes them a mentor which is great. When you have a soulmate I think the mutual connection will drive you to make the effoert NOT to just drift apart.
Relationships take WORK to keep them fresh and vital

The definition of a soulmate would not fit this description. For obvious reasons, a soulmate would not "drift apart" from their soulmate.

God will send you one that is meant to be, and will send one into the world who will be the soulmate of all who believe in his name. This one is here now, and stands at the gates.

I met a fella who's kiss transported me through thousands of years of spontaneous past life recall. We have too much blood debt karma to exist near one another in this life, I will love again but it will not be a soul to soul mating. If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you are with.
The last communication I got from this fella was "connotative" in a spam mail he slipped into my family email accounts in box. I think he meant everything is defined by something else, I don't know. I do know he exists, and I will near him another time in a better place.

I have had a few who might have been "soulmates" as you call it ... we are still very very good friends, closer then brother and sister, but no romantic relationship.

People are sent to us to help us grow, there is nothing wrong with it.
You set out on the path and you will run into many teachers and when you are ready, the "one" will be there.
