How can I go to hell for sinning if Jesus died for my sins? Would that mean that Jesus died in vain? (Please don't take this as an insult, I'm just curious)

I've specifically heard people tell me "If you sin, you're going to hell."

I'm not out for people saying "You can't go to hell since it doesn't exist" but I don't mind disclaimers saying "I don't believe in hell", "I'm not christian" ect. ect.

Jesus Christ gave his life so that you might live eternally. His only specification for the gift of everlasting life was that you believe in his name, and follow him.
The ones who die in vain are those who have no concept or understanding of the sacrifice that God made of his Son, and that the Son made for humanity. As Christ was being nailed to the cross, he cried out "forgive them Father, they know not what they do". Is this not the ultimate example of humility and love, even for those who kill you.

Jesus had no soul. He did nothing involving sacrifice. He worshipped an addiction to power in the form of a type of feeling in his hands. His birth is a circumstance of the physical realm linked to the simultanaety of the exact deaths of 99,999 other people on other versions of the Earth reality. The true messiah will never EVER justify the use of psychic powers. The true messiah removes war-mindedness with such rediculous unavoidability that for his death to occur on a planet that is considered primitive is impossible. The messiah's only distinguishing quality is that anything that occurs in his life is absolutely necessary in order for him to fulfill the unavoidable messiah-ness of his existence.
Now you take Jesus.. killed by a bunch of dopes.. ya and we're supposed to believe he knew what he was doing? Anyone who even had the slightest chance of being the real messiah wouldn't even have been born back then. They had no computers, no calculus, no schools really...
Some of the people on Earth are supposed to be evil. Some of the people on Earth are supposed to be good. You've imagined that one cancels the other out-- it's the opposite! Some of you, when you die, will experience that you personally were living in a space specifically designed to deceive you into thinking this was the physical plane and that your death was your own doing and that you're actually god and that you were actually just really bored with life when you sarcastically allowed someone or some circumstance to act or behave as if it was having power over you. With some of you it's the exact opposite. Those people with souls experience rebirth into what would seem to be another incarnation, for the soul itself is a vehicle. This entire setup for reality is one of 23. You will either arrive at the circumstance that is the ultimate circumstance, or you will perfect it yourself. You see now, either having a soul or not having a soul is just a problem, where it's either too funny to be real or too serious to be bearable.

Jesus died for your sins and if you believe that and accept that, taking Jesus into your life... then your saved.
I wasn't afraid of going to hell before i became a christian, I assumed I was going there because I knew Jesus died for me and loved me very much and i loved Him too...
It was very easy for me to convert (I was 14).
Later, when i heard about the "prayer of salvation" or "sinner's prayer" and i said i had not prayed that prayer before, people got really nervous and said that i was not really saved. That really confused me because I was walking so closely with my Jesus and loved Him so very much. I said the prayer anyway so that I could cover all bases and so that I could be sure I was pleasing Jesus.
Everyone was so exited after I prayed the prayer, but I didn't understand why. They said I was saved now and the angels were rejoicing in heaven, but I really thought and felt that I was already saved.
I know that I was, even though in those people's eyes it was not until that moment.
Anyway... don't worry about what other people think or say, just love Jesus and accept all the goodness and grace He desires to give you... and know you will be with Him in heaven.

Well, saving the hell thing for another answer, Jesus died so that we can have our sins forgiven, and so we can forge a relationship with god. Our sins, including the ones we didn't conscientiously do, alienated us from god, but through Jesus we have the opportunity to know and draw close to god, and become his 'friend'. So Jesus didn't die for your sins in the sence that all your sins are automatically ignored, but Jesus died for you, so that you can actually get a relationship with god, and that any sins you do commit can be forgiven if your repentant.

He did die for all of our sins. He took all sin upon himself. Some people say it makes it free for us. It wasn't free, he paid an awesome price, but we are given free will to come to him on our own, If you repent for your sins, then you are forgiven, but that also means to go and do not sin again. We all mess up from time to time, but Christ says he will forgive us 70x7. That is 490 times a day. Jesus did not die in vain. He gave paid the price, and he did it without hesitation. He loved us so much he did this for us. And look how He is treated in the world.

The dogma is that you can go to hell ( a place that doesn't exist) for committing a sin ( an act that changes with whoever is creating the dogma), unless you ask Jesus ( how probably existed but didn't to the work we are told he did) for forgiveness (which is interpreted as giving money to the keeper of the dogma).

Forgiveness is contingent upon faith and repentance.
"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins" Acts 2:38
"Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon." Is 55:6,7
Ac 8:22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.
Ac 3:19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Only if you refuse to repent of your sin and will not accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Yes, Jesus died on the cross, but only those who recognize they are a sinner, and need a savior, will be saved.

You won't go to hell IF YOU BELIEVE IN, AND TRUST GOD FOR YOUR SALVATION. Such will lead you to lead a Christian life, accept the grace of God through faith, worship, honor, and praise God and live a life reflective of such a faith. Jesus did not die in vain. He died to save sinners just like you and me. If a person does not accept what Jesus did problems for their salvation will arise.

Only if you do not let Jesus to free you from your sins. He died for ALL of your sins. Your job is to leave them for him to forgive. Get real with Him about your sin problems.
