1) No. Although I don't want to stereotype, and I HATE to use this as an example, but a common non-example that we all know is Islam. Some will claim they are peaceful even though they have a bomb strapped to their back. There are, however, MANY more examples, and I truly hate to use Islam as one, but it is one that we best know.
2) Again, no. EVERYBODY is labeled. Some people are labeled sinners. Some people are labeled outcasts. Some are labeled poor. Some are labeled $19.95+tax. Everybody and everything can be labeled, and usually is. What we have to ask is--do those labels matter?
3) Absolutely, and everybody HAS been one at one point or another, even if it's just a simple case of the pot calling the kettle black. I've often said how much I hate hipocrisy, but that in itself is hipocrisy because I acknowledge that I am, at times, hipocritical. The only reason Christianity is labeled so highly as hipocritical is because of the NATURE of their hipocrisy...some go around preaching love and acceptance, and yet the same person will show hate and intolerance that can rival even some of the world's worst men. What we have to remember is there ARE good Christians out there that truly emulate Christ.

The world would be so much simpler if that were true!
Christians aren't the only hypocrites, nor is every Christian a hypocrite. They are, at worst, just some among many. Anyone is capable of adopting an approach that is like 'do as I say, not as I do', which is the essence of hypocrisy. I also doubt they are the only ones who have that label - take the latest scandal involving Senator Larry Craig. I suppose Christians are most often labelled this way because of the moral stances they take on various issues. When they fail to live up to their own standards - sometimes quite deliberately - they are liable to be seen as hypocrites. But so can anyone who takes a strong position on an issue and then betrays that through his behaviour.
I'd say hypocrisy is the most universal club of all. Especially if you happen to be a politician.

1. Hardly. All people are hypocrites in one way or another. How many people do you know that tell their child that lying is wrong (and even punish the child for doing it) and then LIE to their child about Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc...? ...how many tell the child to tell aunt Esther that Mommy is in the shower when she isn't because they don't want to talk to her right then? How many people say that they are concerned about the environment and then don't take the time required to properly dispose of the products they consume, drive a gas-guzzling vehicle and/or take unnecessary trips in their car, or waste a bunch of energy on unnecessary lighting and equipment in their home? How many people say they believe that people who make their bed should have to lie in it (suffer consequences of their own choices) have an abortion to avoid pregnancy or lie to avoid a speeding ticket or whatever else to avoid the consequences of their own actions?
2. Christians aren't the only ones that have that lable though it does seem to be most commonly applied to them. That is understandable for severals reasons. First, the bible uses that word (or variations of it) a lot when it judges the behavior of people that disobey laws they profess to believe...makes sense that anyone familiar enough with the bible to identify hypocritical behavior in believers would use the term hypocrite to describe them. Second, Christians are compelled by their belief to share their beliefs with others (to spread the Gospel). Unfortunately, too many of them forget that you need to get the beam out of your own eye before you start pointing out the speck in someone else's eye! They openly discuss their beliefs with others before they have incorporated those beliefs into their own life...this isn't much of a "witness". Do as I say not as I do is NOT what Jesus or his followers taught...they taught "follow my example"!!!. Many Christians get labeled hypocrites (and rightly so) because they preach something that even a blind man could see isn't what they actually do!
3. see above...yes, everybody IS a hypocrite...no one perfectly practices everything they say they believe and an observer can always point out an inconsistency in someone. Of course, some people are more hypocritical than others AND some people open themselves up to charges of hypocrisy because they choose to talk about their beliefs to others!

2. No. Hypocrites come in every faith or lack thereof.
3. Yes. We are all guilty of say ing one thing and doing another at some time in our lives.

Nope, No, and absolutely. The reason that Christians get the label so often is because they tend to be the ones to condemn the behavior of others (such as homosexuality) while secretly participating in those activities themselves. If someone is caught in a gay liaison who has never said that homosexuality is an abomination, then it is not hypocrisy.
Google Ted Haggard and Senator Larry Craig if you need further clarification.

A true Christian is no hypocrite. This is one reason why the president is a False Christian. He hides behind the banner of Christ while deceiving and lying to you from the beginning. He can lead the world down the wide and straight path to hell, but not the narrow winding path to heaven.

Define hypocrite
cause if you mean they committ sin and still say they are Christian well so does everyone else. The only difference is Christians have hope for eternal salvation, the rest dont' have anything to look forward to after they die.

Everybody can be a hypocrite in one form or another. The more notable ones are just hypocritical about major issues that lots of people care about. So they take more crap for it.
