when a you a problem? I talk to my Imam (like a priest or rabbi for those of you who don't know what an Imam is). When I have a problem, just by talking to him, makes me feel happy and whatever the problem is, it seems to become so small. God bless him, he is a very dear person to me.
Is there a person in your life that you turn to, who makes you feel better and cheers you up when you have a problem?

I turn to God first obviously, I trust in God to help me. What I mean by this question is, is there a PERSON that you talk to when you have a problem and need help/advice?

My dad. He's like my own personal Superman. My daddy is always there for me whenever I need him. It seems like the older we become he closer we get. I talk to my dad like 5 times a week. He's got this funny mannerism about life and it always puts me in a good mood. Usually when people make me angry or I have a question about marriage, my dad always gives the best advice. He always remains so neutral, like a good friend. And because he is so experience in life, he always helps me to realize how small my big problems really are. Sometimes I feel silly cause he always makes me realize that I am worried about the wrong things. He has also been real helpful to my husband. My husband's dad is always busy and lives thousands of miles away. I get so proud when my dad steps in and helps my husband as if he were his natural born son. I know I can always trust my dad to be honest and comforting He's not the most spiritual man, but he has a great outlook on life.

Always GOD ...but beside GOD..........hummmmmmm I would have to say my family, my mother, sisters, girl cousins, aunts or the two men I trust....my brothers they know me better than anything and they'll give it to me straight up just the way I need it or give me shame when I'm totally wrong which I don't like...L.O.L . or just my two closest friends in the world, or their mothers!
Imam as well, he is so nice and he teaches me of the finer things in life and fills me with knowledge always to put my trust in ALLAH knowing that everything is so because he has willed it so and everything has it's reasons and times........which these are the most people in my life that cheers me up the most!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funnily enough, the often recommended "talking about problems" has never worked for me. I would not feel better after talking, so I gave up.
I don't talk about my problems; I work them out myself (which can take a few years, sometimes) and then, when it's all fine, I am okay to talk to friends and family, even strangers, about it; not as a problem but as an experience I had.

Whenever I have a problem I try talking to my parents or family. But they can't always be there for you.... (personal experiences)
But I get more tangible results when I turn to God... the depression ends and my heart fills with hope and serenity.

I used to have more people to turn to, but I don't feel as close to them now.
The two people I can talk to about anything are my boyfriend and my best friend. Though sometimes I don't really talk to anybody.
I write stuff too.
It's good to have two people, because if one is winding you up you can rant to the other one and get it out of your system ;)
I haven't got a pastor anymore, but when I did I never felt comfortable talking to him.

First and all the times to Allah SWT. You can talk to Allah and pray to Him SWT.
I'd talk to very close friends. I think if some body has a problem he must not keep it to himself because it'll hurt him a lot. So one must talk to close friends or write his sufferings and this will dicrease these sufferings.

As salaamu 'alaikym , my friend.
Insha'Allah, I turn first and only to Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala as it says in al Fatihah, "Him do we serve and to Him do we turn for help..."
Insha'Allah, when I think of my own personal difficulties and compare them to those endured by others, I know how blessed I am in that there are so many who are not only more deserving than I am but who endure much more than I do.
Of course, insha'Allah, I utilize medical help and legal help when the same is necessary as we are taught to do all that we can as we rely on the providential care of Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala.
Ma'a salaam.

My grandmother but there are somethings I can't tell her because she's 81 now and she worries easily or my father.
Most of the time I turn to Jesus he's the best confidant for me.
Most of my relatives gossip too much so there not an option.
