You say you're "in between religions." Does that mean you're looking outside of Christianity or simply comparing Christian denominations?
There is no original sin in Judaism.
There is no eternal torment in Judaism.
All the righteous of the nations have a share in the world-to-come.
The Tanakh ("old" testament) is the instruction for life, not a guide to the afterlife.
No need to convert (no special rewards for Jews), but I guarantee you'll learn to see the logic in the Bible.

The word sin it self doesn't explain exactly what it is so many questions are asked about. The best reason I can give is that when a child is born they carry all the memories of the whole family tree>This can also carry the gene and DNA problems at birth. So as a child grows and these thing come forth he reacts to them. Because it comes into his mind he assumes that these are his thoughts and that is where it all begins in there lives. Not knowing this information the parents or society don't understand how to help or the real reasons behind there behavoiur. So quilt is given to them and affects there lives for long periods of time ..Quit blaming God for our ignorance.

People aren't born with sin...when a person is born they are born "innocent" and I get in a lot of heated debates with Christians because they believe a person is automatically a sinner at birth.
Of course there are many deviations to the meaning of sin so I believe it must take your own thinking, come to your own conclusions as to what sin is and then maybe you'll arrive at an answer to your question that is favorable and satisfying to you.

This concept of "born with sin" is entriely christian and I can not defend it 'cause makes no sense to me. Just as the concept "jesus paid for all christians sins" is without any merit or logical reasoning. God is JUST. He will never hold someone accountable until and unless they are fully reponsible for their actions. Just think! If a baby is "born in sin" and then dies will God stick this infant in hell??? That will be so unjust.
In Islam we believe all human (adults starting from their puberty) must be accountable for our all our words and actions. But God (Allah) is Most Merciful and forgives most and all sins if one who commited them sincerely repents and promises God not to ever do it again. God say, O mankind, if you come to me (repentent) with sins size of a mountain I will forgive you. His Mercy superceeds His anger. He has mandated that on Himself. So how can we even begin to imagine that He will burfden an innocent life with sins.

People are not born with sin. The following, I hope, helps:
We lived with our Heavenly Father before this life. We grew and learned but there came a point when we couldn't progress any further. So, He created this Earth for us to come down on and experience mortality. We are here to grow, learn, and get a body. We make mistakes but we come out better on the other side as we repent and allow Christ's Atonement to have its effect on us.
You said, "Just make humans with no sin!!" That is exactly what Heavenly Father is trying to do right now. The thing is, He will not take away our freedom to choose good or evil. We must choose on our own. He will not force us into heaven because that won't help us at all and how much joy do you think He'd get from doing it that way? He said, "For behold, this is my work and my glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." He loves us and we are His children.
I'm not very good with these things but I hope you understood. Search for truth with an open mind and never give up! :o)

The Judeo-Christian scriptures are full of paradoxes. A paradox is a statement that appears contradictory but is true.
For example: Jesus on Earth was God and man rolled into one
Another example: God predestines people to be saved by drawing them to Himself; God allows people to decide on their own whether or not they want to be saved
God made people with a free will: they can choose between right and wrong. He didn't make people as mindless robots who always do the same thing. If you love somebody (i.e.--God) then you show it through your actions. Also, by allowing darkness (i.e.--sin, Satan) to exist in the world, it allows God to show his good nature. Light shines greater in the darkness. If you shine a flashlight outside during the day, nobody can really see its light. If you shine that same flashlight at night, then everyone can see its light and they are drawn to it.
Try and get a good study Bible to help you. The Quest Study Bible is probably one of the best. It has common questions that people always ask, along with the answers on the margins of each page. If a new copy is too expensive for you, then look for a good, used copy on Amazon.com or Biblio.com or bn.com (Barnes & Noble). Hope this helped a bit.

Man, you hit on what one of my teachers once called "The Baptist Connundrum": that God made us sinful then blamed us for it.
What I believe is that God made us so the only time we're really happy -- that is happy-fulfilled, not happy-neurotic -- is when we're growing as people.
We were born with faults and weaknesses, true. But we were also born with this little bitty kernel of truth in us that drives us on to become better and better.
Sin has a lot of definitions, and I don't agree with the fundamentalists who say that all sins are the same to God, and that looking at a hot guy and feeling good about that is a sin, for example. A definition of sin that I like is incompleteness: we are incomplete with the will in us to become more and more complete, but when we get lazy, or start worshiping the bible instead of God, then we stay incomplete. Anything that doesn't help us to love others better is incomplete: a sin.
Lucky for me, God forgives all those times I'm lazy and near-sighted spiritually, and continues to call me to more and more love, to more and more completeness, to
God calls us: the fundamentalists are a lot more into the blame game than He is.

People are not born into sin, they learn it from the environment their in. Oh by the way thank you public school system, government institutions, politicians, and false prophets for teaching me sin, too bad the jokes on you, I adapted, and over came. I am saved.
Anyway, people are born with the nature to sin, gee thanks Eve and Adam. But wait! I have a way out. It's through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.

This is false that people are born with sin.
Each person is born pure and free from sin. And we become responsible for sinning once we hit puberty:
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: There are three (persons) whose actions (sins) are not recorded:
a sleeper till he awakes,
***a boy till he reaches puberty,***
and a lunatic till he comes to reason.
(Sahih Muslim, Book #38, Hadith #4389)
we are only responsible for our own sins, we do not inherit sins from another:
Surah 17:15 Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his ownself. And whoever goes astray, then he goes astray to his own loss. No one laden with burdens can bear anothers burden. And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning).

Sin is little but a binding Churches place on their flock to make the churches of some use. Churches are not needed to speak with any God. However, religions truth, is that the churches' hierarchy want to be known as the one and onlys that can make things right with a God.
Are there so many, that are so weak, they cannot free themselves of sin before their God without help beyond a soul such as Jesus or any of the other representatives of God. If so, all the Gods have failed horribly in their creations.
