I just paid $2.89 for a half gallon. That cheap *** yellow brick cheese runs me $4.25 at least a lb. On things I buy on a weekly basis at the market, prices on most things have gone up by over 10%. Catfood, sweetner, eggs, cheese, milk, OJ, meat is through the roof, bread is up over 20%. I don't know about ridiculous, but cost of food is going a lot faster than my salary.

I live in a remote town in Alaska. It is $6.99 for 2% Milk. If there are sales for the milk we would get two gallons for $11.00. Eggs are 4.99 for 18 eggs. Bread is like 3 something for a loaf of Wonder bread. A pound of butter is $6.99.
++ I went shopping today and had to get some milk and the price was $7.00 a gallon. They were on sale 2 for $11.00. The milk doesn't go any lower even if to buy one gallon. The store does not take coupons.

3.55 a gallon. It's up about 90 cents from one year ago today. It is getting out of hand... Milk went from being cheaper then gas to being more expensive.

I think it's about $4.29 for a gallon of organic milk where I'm at.
So, $5.99 is looking a bit pricey...
