We are admonished to test the spirits behind folk's actions. We are to judge a tree by its fruit. I want to know what kind of fruit certain people bear......what kind of spirit is behind their 'ministry'.....these people are Benny Hinn and Richard Roberts, Pat Robertson, Kenneths Copeland and Hagin Jr. What say you ???

Father K......studying traditional Christianity, you obviously know much about wicked spirits, and their deception of mankind. I wonder if you studied this sort of thing in detail........peace be with you, my friend.

I did the 3 year course with Rhema Bible School (Kenneth Hagin) out of Tulsa, OK. He is considered the father of the Word-Faith movement. Yhe Copelands teach about the same message as he does and the others also have shades of the same.

I will tell you all one thing: if you're going to do this kind of research, you are going to need to be like the Bereans who Paul commended who "searched the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so". Without being fully grounded in God's word, we are susceptible to every wind of doctrine. I don't care if it wears the Christian label and how many people claim that New Age doctrines, such as these are compatible with Christianity. It is a lie straight from the pit of hell.

The Word-Faith movement (aka Health & Wealth Gospel, name it and claim it, and positive confession) is completely New Age Philosophy. In fact, I am doing a presentation on Paltalk on the 18th where I will draw parallels between this ideology and that of the Secret (Law of Attraction) and Witch craft. All three are cut from the same mold.

They are all based on the premise that we can order from God's catalogue anything our heart desires for our own prosperity. Of course, "God" is the essence of the universe, not a personal creator, to the Secret and to witchcraft. To the Word-Faith movement, He is a personal God, but He is a mere cosmic vending machine.

In the Secret we get what we want by focusing on positive thoughts that materialize as reality, because these thoughts cause vibrations throughout the universe that return to us. It works the same way with negative thoughts. In Witchcraft, these vibrations are controlled through certain rituals. In the Word-Faith movement, it is our words that become reality because we are made in God's image and therefore are able to speak our desires into existance as He did when He created.

All of this is the lie of the devil. It strips God of His will for us because we can dictate to Him what we want. It also makes us, essentially, little gods who control our own destinies apart from Him. Does it all sound familiar? It should. It is the same lie the serpent told Eve in Eden: follow my prompting and you will have the knowledge and have your eyes open to achieve anything you want. You won't even need God. You will be a god.

New Age is nothing but OLD LIE. Satan is not all that original, but he hardly needs to be if humans are going to keep falling for the old lie in a new package.

What's dangerous about it all from a mental health standpoint is that all three blame the victim for something bad that happens to them. If you have negative thoughts, it's your fault when misfortune befalls you, says the Secret. In word-faith, your faith wasn't strong enough or you spoke negative words into being. Many Christians have become faint hearted feeling that they are the blame for misfortune because of such philosphies.

There is also something very wrong about the Me-ism that is promoted and the narcissism. God tells us to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and He will provide for our needs. These philosophies fly directly in the face of what He says.

A ministry is judged by how many souls are brought to Christ through it's work. God supplies the Grace and the Faith.
Not by how much revenue is produced that really doesn't matter the minister has the right to keep it or use it in the Kingdom. He will answer to god for that and it ain't your business.
Most of these are Oral Roberts University Grads. This school produces a crop of preachers just like this every year and most are very successful as Christian Ministers.

I don't see anything wrong with these people. I know they seem weird to some, but God chooses who He wants and we need not to bring division. I was healed at one of Benny Hinn's crusades. I watch the 700 Club each day and feel the presence of the Lord. I enjoy the joy of Kenneth Copeland also. I know that you want others to agree with you, but I don't. If you really don't agree with them, then you need to pray that they be changed.

I do not follow any of these people...do not know them.
Bottom line for me is...when Jesus was here...He healed and did not ask for money. We are to follow His example. If people want to give...that is different. Also, we are to see what people are teaching. If it does not go by the Bible, they are false prophets. The devil can do miracles...he can cause sickness and then remove it...so that is not a true test by itself.

Are they teaching the true word? Are they teaching contrary to the Bible? I have seen ones I believe to be false do miraculous things. as God's word never returns void. One scripture that also comes to mind is: 1Ch 16:22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. So with this we need to be careful as to whom we accuse. But there are false prophets out there, and we need to test them with the word.

They're ALL awful. They 'minister' to you... then they ask you to send them money... and lots of it.

Sometimes I wonder why jesus lets them get away with making a mockery of him.

C'mon.... 'Reach out and touch the TV or reach forth towards it for healing' ????..... that is idolatrous!!!
