If your dog is repeatedly vomiting, and there's blood in the vomit they need to be seen by a veterinarian right away. There should be a 24 hour emergency pet hospital somewhere fairly close by, or call your own veterinarian if they make house calls (some still do!).

Vomiting and diarrhea, especially when containing blood, can be the symptoms of some very serious, often fatal, dog illnesses. Immediate medical treatment and supportive care can sometimes mean the difference between life or death.

I don't want to panic you, and there may be another reason for your dog's sickness, but with those symptoms you simply can't afford to take ANY chances. Take your dog to the veterinary hospital now!

The suggestion of an obedience class is an excellent one. Read here https://tr.im/zLXs2
It will help your dog learn to behave around other dogs, and help keep your training moving forward as you'll want to be prepared for the next class. Also, a good instructor can be a wonderful resource, someone to help you with any questions or concerns about your dog. Leash training can take a LOT of time and patience, depending upon the dog. I'm not sure what you mean by 'horrible on a leash' but my basic suggestion is that you take a lot of yummy treats with you on walks. When your dog behaves well on the leash (not pulling) praise her and give her treats. Change direction a lot so that she learns to pay attention to YOU and where you are going. It's also helpful to teach a "Watch Me" command such that whenever your dog looks at you you praise her and give her a treat. About chewing, yes a Kong is a great chew toy. Some dogs also like Nylabone brand bones. I suggest also teaching a "Leave It" command. You use this when she shows interest in chewing on something she shouldn't. Then immediately give her something she is allowed to chew, such as the Kong stuffed with somethig yummy. This same command will be helpful on walks when she wants to sniff or eat something she shouldn't. Again, when she does leave the item alone, be sure to give lots of praise. I would look into an obedience class right away. I think that you'll find that a good obedience class can help enormously! Good luck and enjoy your new dog.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU8Nl

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I got my puppy today & he was so stressed out with moving away from the only home he's known...and eating a new food...that he got diahrea...and one time it had blood in it...I called the breeder right away and she told me to get kaopectade or pepto bismol to stop the diahrea...and she will overnight some vet meds (she's a vet). If the blood doesn't stop, go to a vet. Is he acting okay?

Take the dog to the vet. It could be the parvo virus.
And when you get to the vet, go inside alone!
Leave the dog outside and tell the vet that it is vomiting blood.
The vet will want to step outside to see the dog.
If you take a parvo dog inside the vet's office, everything has to be disenfected all over the shop to kill the virus and keep it from infecting other dogs.

I think you must go to vet as soon as you can. If you look in phone book you might be able to talk to a vet tonight. Some do out of hours visits. If you can't get to private vet go to PDSA. They should be in the phone book. I'd try to ring before you go. They are real helpful. I don't think you can wait too long to get the dog seen. Hope it goes well.

Now let me think.....

If you were being sick and coughing up blood would spend the time to sit at your computer and ask a bunch of untrained people for a diagnosis or would you go and see the doctor.....

i don't know why some people keep asking us cos the main thing to do is to see a vet. your dog may verywell be getting a hole in its stomach which may explain the blood and the trowing up is probably due to this as well but don't waste your time asking us...go to a vet!

do the dog a favour and get it to the vets asap! if needs be get the emergency vet who can then arrange to pick it up in an ambulance which will then reduce the risk of contamination from whatever it has got !
