I did that, but it was a more innocent time. He was a gentleman who wouldn't have dreamed of taking advantage of me, I didn't know anything about sex at that age but after we broke up and I figured it out I wondered if he wasn't seeing someone else too.
Now sex is discussed more so the girl may not be innocent even at 16.
My brother married a girl when he was almost 19 and she turned 17 the week before, they have been married 39 years now. Other than she was still in high school and he was joining the navy so she ended up alone in other town going to high school while he was shipped out it wasn't bad. She graduated on time and now has a masters and enough credits for a doctorate and they have 2 grandkids.
2 years is a long time when you are young with one child and one adult. The older of the couple will be finished with college sooner and able to drink sooner so when he is almost 23 she still can't go in a bar and when she can go in a bar at 21 he may have lost interest in the drinking in bars phase so she may never do that as a couple.
It would be better if they were months apart not years apart but 2 years isn't as bad as it could be. Also from 25-60 it won't matter much. Now my brother retired but his wife needs 4 more years work to retire.
My boyfriend is 10 months older than me and he is 60 so if he retires at 62 I can't get SS for 10 more months it would be worse to be two years that he had to wait for me or he started traveling and I had to keep working.
A 19 year old man won't probably be interested in high school dances and proms so you may miss out on high school experience if that is important to you. I am assuming the male is older.

I think 2 years is a good age difference. Especially if the guy is older.. maturity is much closer with that age difference because guys take longer to mature. However, the older one IS an adult and I'm positive they know it. Meaning that they do things that they couldn't do a year or 2 a go. they younger one wants to get there at there own pace. Its OK to have an age difference its legally or and maturity is OK. Just make sure the older one is ready to spend time with High Schoolers for the next 2 years. And that the younger one isn't trying to find an "out" from teen years.

I don't think that is bad, with two minor problems. If these problems can be worked out, it is just fine.
The main problem I see is high school events. My younger sister dated a guy who was that much older than her. When prom came around she wouldn't go because he thought he was too old. In my opinion, this comes with the package- if you are young enough to date a teen, you are young enough to take a teen to a high-school dance.
Another problem is that the older one might be more sexually experienced. The older one shouldn't sexually pressure the younger one.

its fine, your both over the legal age for sex, and the 2 year diffrence shouldnt come between you. Seriously, I met my husband when I was 14 and he was 18 and nothing got serious until I was 16 anyway

I think that is a good age difference. 3 is even better. however, since y'all are younger and 1 is over 18 your parents might flip. I dont think it is bad at all.

Again, a better question to ask is why you'd post this under the Toddler & Preschool category?
