In a word yes. If you think about it, when you wake up, you probably have not eaten for atleast 8-10 hours, if you then avoid breakfast and eat at lunch it means the body has now been starved for 16 hours approx. If you dont eat at lunch and wait til evening then this becomes approx 20-24 hours.

The body and brain will not be functioning as well as it could be. The brain needs constant sugars in slow release and quick release format to function optimally, your emotions may also suffer as your hormones will also become unstable. Your body will start to atrophy, this means that you will start to lose muscle tissue and your posture will deteriorate. Your body will go into 'starvation / survival mode' this actually means that it will burn msucle tissue more readily for fuel and energy for your body than it will body fat.

Please dont continue this trend for much longer, when you start enjoying a breakfast and lunch again, you will start to feel fantastic. If you have trouble eating at these times, just try small amounts initially to get the body use to it and you will then start to find your appetite will build from there.

Hope this helps. Get a good mixture of proteins, fats and carbohydrates at each meal. with atleast 1 litre of pure water everyday.

I'm afraid so.

You really should try to have a good heathy breakfast as it is what the word means break fast, that is to break the fast that your body went through whilst asleep.

A golod healthy breakfast such as museli (no added sugar ir salt) or low sugar cereal and natiral yoghurt with fruit or the likes are a good way to kick start your metabolism.

You better your metabolism the more efficiently and quickly you burn energy (calories). If you have your main meal in the evening have a ligt lunch such as prawn salad, salad of your chioce with fruit and some nuts/seeds.

Not eating will also affexct your performance at college or work as food is fuel for your brain too. Not eating affects your concentation and mood too; it can make you irritable (I know it does that to me).

Top tip: always have breakfast even if just a banana and slice of wholemeal toast or fruit, follow u with light lunch, seeds and pulses are great for filling up on and low in fat but great provider of essential oils and energy.

Hope this helps.

Yes, you should have breakfast not only because it starts up your metabolism therefore helping to control your weight, but with the right breakfast it can make you more alert for the rest of the day.You should eat regular small meals if you cant handle a big meal. I have those fruity cereal bars for breakfast and then some fruit or yoghurt later in the morning. I dont like eating big meals but snacking on healthy things is better than nothing

Yes it is bad for your blood sugar, energy levels, general psychology, and physical well being. If you don't like eating or you don't have time try eat something like a granola bar at least. It takes like 30 seconds. It can also make you fat if you eat a lot at dinner cause you haven't eaten earlier because that is the meal that is most likely to go unutilized and hence turn into fat. In fact, you can eat pretty much whatever you want at breakfast and not get fat. A medium lunch is best.

Well it depends really, like if your someone that wakes up late and misses lunch and breakfast, then your breakfast might actually be your dinner in a way. But yes breakfast is the most important meal cause you need it to make it through the day, and to burn calories ect. Good luck!

yes it is pretty bad for you-you will lose more weight by eating breakfast and lunch and missing dinner becuase ur body wont be storing calories frantically. Eating breakfast kick starts ur metabolism (the rate u burn calories) and tells ur body its ok to burn them as there is food available. But if you dont then it is very bad for you and ur body automatically burns less calories. This is because evolution dictates that this is better for survival and ur body thinks automoatically that there is no food available and begins to store calories.
You will have better concentration and mood too when you eat breakfast.

"People who eat breakfast every morning are more likely to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle than people who don't".

Decide from that.

I cannot function properly until i've had breakfast. it's bad for you in the sense that it doesn't offer you all the perks of what happens if you DO eat breakfast: you're more alert, less likely to snack, less likely to be exhausted or fall asleep in the late morning, less likely to get a sugar craving and the sugar crash which follows, and makes you sleepy, shaky and irritable.

apparently the most important meal of the day is breakfast but i say there is no point in forcing yourself to eat if you are truly not hungry

breakfast can also bo something very light like a yoghurt or a banana both of which are very good for you

breakfast is the most important meal of the day - it tells your body to start burning calories (body goes into a little starvation mode during the night, saving calories), you fuel it with food.
if you eat only dinner you are slowing down your metabolism/losing muscle and gaining fat. your body thinks its gona be starved all the time and who knows when is the next time its gona get fuel so it holds on to every single gram of fat plus converts all you eat into fat reserves and burns muscle instead.
you have to eat 5-6 small meals a day to be healthy.

yes--i did that for many years and am still suffering the consequences--excess weight--the body stores all it can when food comes in as a defence mechanism--the only way to get rid of the fat cells is with surgery--try eating smaller meals throughout the day to trick your body into thinking that the fuel is always there--but don't forget the exercise
