Most states are getting away from proof of insurance and instead shows on computer screen whether you are or not insured when they stop you.............and run a dmv.

Yes .......any vehicle you drive would be covered by your insurance

Don't know where you are or what mot'd stands for but here (Texas) if the vehicle isn't listed on your insurance card you'll get a ticket if you're stopped by the cops.
