sometimes when guys call girls babe, or sweetheart they do that so they don't have to remember ur name and they have a pet name for each girl they are dating..alot of players will do that.

LOL.....had to laugh with Fluke. could be you are becomming close or that he can't remember your name.
I wanted to think pet names were special....but "babe" is generic. So when a guy screams..."ohhhh...babe".....I don't think I'm "special" I don't like tattoos but I had to laugh when one girl had "say my name" tattooed across her hips. Say my name. Honey...babe...sweetie... is too generic anymore to be "special".
My "special" pet name was "footie". Why?...Coz it was in the old days when they had the little socks with the colored balls on the back. They were called "footies". I wore those all the time......so that was my special name....Footie.
Remember 'Lost" calling her Freckles?
Hey......I have made love to men and there's no mix-up on their names or their "pet" names. Never once cried out another persons name.; Pet or otherwise.

Okay babe is not a pet name but it means that he like you and that he's claimin you as his girl or sometimes as a friend.

It could mean he likes you... or he is just trying to get you to relax around him so maybe he can get some... you never know. It could be a very friendly thing and he wants to get together with you, or it could be a jerkish thing.

Some guys do it out of habit to every girl he talks to but if he is just saying it to you Hello he likes you.
