Do you believe that 3 fold is a geometric progression?

I began thinking of "The Three Fold Law" of Magick "Whatever you send out returns three fold." I wondered whether "fold" was just an antiquity of language. Then I took a piece of paper to represent the sending with the normal 2 sides and folded it in half, 3 times. The amount of sides and the strength of the structure made by the folds was far beyond the paper I had begun with.

Sounds like it could be. Or perhaps it has something to do with the velocity and speed on return impact. We tend to amplify something we know is coming but, dang, don't know when or where. In this suspense our awares are heightened three times, we become three times more sensitive and then whammo! Triple the pleasure, triple the bum.
Or maybe time and space has to fold three times when..........shall we continue? LOL

That is quite interesting. I never thought to put the 3 fold law to a test using science. I wonder what else it could pertain to.
