she may prefer sleeping in the living room if she is awake first and sleeps last . There are a number of cheap foam mattresses that you can buy that are very comfortable if she can afford it. Or try to find a secondhand pull out sofa bed. Auctions are good for used furniture.

building a room is very expensive and you would have to own the house. If your mom owns the house and the living room is big enough you could partition off a small area as another bedroom.
at 15 you could try for jobs cutting lawns or stocking shelves at a supermarket part time . Your school work is most important though.

You are a good daughter. Right now your job is to be the best you can be in school. Study extra hard, get great grades so you can get into college. This is a long term plan and takes patience but it is the only way to ever solve your mothers problem. I know that is all she asks of you so start today if you have time read a book or go to a geography.com quiz on the internet and learn geography or study another language or anything to make your future more prosperous. That is the ticket

Aw sweetie you are so thoughtful. Let me tell you from a mom's point of view we are happy to sacrifice for our kids. The best thing you can do for your mom is to do well in school, help around the house as much as you can, and give her lots of love and respect. If you concentrate on your schooling you will lay the foundation to make a great life for yourself in the future and then you can be in the position to thank her for all she is doing right now by eliminating some of her burdens. Just show her love and appreciation it's what mom's want and need most. You sound like a very sweet young lady so your mom must be a wonderful woman. She will be okay we moms are tougher than you think.

You are a good Daughter for wanting to help your Mom out,
There are many things you can do after school/ part- time to help..Baby-sitt, walk dogs, help an elderly person w/ little stuff around the house( pick up mail, dishes, gardening, take out the trash, etc..) newspaper delivery, or you can also ask around shops if they need help too. I was 13 when I wanted to earn extra money and asked the owners of a little mom and pop store if I could help them with whatever they needed to get done, hope you find something. Good luck!

I know it must be hard for your family. I have friends who have similar living conditions (though I don't think that they are as severe as yours). If I were in your situation, I would ask my friends, teachers, or counselor's at school for help. You might could ask if they have an extra floor mattress for your mom. You could also stop by the Salvation army or the Good Will in your area because they often give away items to needy family such as clothes, food, and beds.

I know earning money is hard, why don't you try mowing the neighbor's lawn or washing cars? If you can get a job, try working where you would get a discount for things your family needs. You sound like an awesome kid! When you make a little money, why don't you get her a futon or a sofa with a hide away bed?

You are soooo sweet. You can try looking for a part time job so you can help your mom. Don't let it get in the way of your studying because then your mom will make you give it up. Good luck and God bless you.

Contact Home Makeovers.
In the meantime. Try babysitting. I know I have to pay a ton of money to a babysitter if me and my husband want to go out for an evening.
