It's just a topical anesthetic cream, like Oralgel. It's probably Benzocaine. It numbs the buccal mucosa, or tissues, inside the mouth.

Haven't a Scooby - just found out about it from my wee niece the other day. I shall be asking my dentist about it -lol!- cos I am sh*t scared of the injections!

YES, THIS A PATCH WHICH IS PLACED TO THE INJECTION SITE PRIOR TO THE NUMBING INJECTION SO THE NUMBING IS MORE COMFORTABLE.
