some people like the idea of Heaven, but have not quite prepared themselves mentally enough to accept the process of getting there.

I want to go to heaven, I am not afraid to die. I use to be afraid until I accepted Jesus. I also think that it is human nature to have doubts and fears about death. It is that the more you know about Jesus and the after life, the more peace there is in knowing that someday I will die and looking forward to it. I also believe that age has alot to do with it. I am not that old, but I realize that younger people look forward to the future of their jobs, raising families, etc.

Um, I have no belief in heaven. I'm not scared to die. Maybe I'm scared of the "way" I might die, just a little. Buy not dying itself.

It is natural to be fearful of dying, that is part of being human but, when you pray to God for help in that, He will help you. A Christian knows that even though we have to die in order to make it to Heaven, the blessing is that we spend eternity in Heaven with God if we die in Him. Being saved does not mean that immediately we become perfect, it does mean that immediately we are saved from sin and we have the Help to overcome any obstacle in life, death included. I as a Chrisitian look forward to going a being with the Lord.

Because we have been given the gift of emotions. We love. We grow attached to those around us. No one wants to leave their loved ones. We fear. We are afraid of the pain of death, the uncertainty that comes. We may believe in heaven but we we don't know exactly what it will be.
Nothing unnatural about it and it certainly does not draw into question peoples faith IMO.

That doesn't make sense! God put it into our hearts to want to live forever, because he intended for us to live forever here on the earth. He will soon wipe out all the wicked ones and leave the righteous ones. Like an extermenator getting rid of the roaches in a house.

good question. when people know that they have deceived themselves all their life, then they are scared to die. I am somewhat scared to die but only because of how it will affect people who know me, and the probability of incomprehensible pain during death.

Human were created with the hope of living forever on earth. Adam and Eve messed that up, now because of sin we die (an unnatural thing) and we fear it.
