what is port forwarding and how do you do it?

i need to do this for either limewire or mp3 rocket

Here is a guide, it took me a while to do so read it slowley and thouroughly. Once you have done it once though it is easy.

You need to find out what inbound port limewire or mp3 rocket uses and go into your firewall setup on your router and tell it what computer on your lan to forward to.
