the ice in my freezer has a very unexplainable taste even when It out. why?

If it is coming from a built in ice maker the filter may need to be changed.

If the ice seems stale you might not be using it very rapidly and the ice in there is picking up odors from food. If so empty it out, make a tray full, and then shut off the ice maker until that one is close to gone.

Maybe ur water is contaminated. Check that out
