I take ginko biloba on a regular basis (and fish oil during periods when I don't have fish). Is it ok to go out and drink every once in a while? I mean, if ginko increases blood circulation to the brain, would this get me drunk faster or cause more alcohol to go to the brain???
Let me know!

Ginko was said to have many good beneficial effects and westerns use it mainly for its effect on the mind – it can ease depression and boost the memory. It produces some effects as a "stimulant".

Though some ginko contain alcohol itself, the following would be the possible events that can happen if you mix up taking both ginko and alcohol:

Taking into considerstion that alcohol gives effects as a depressant, there is some sort of counteraction with the stimulant effect of the ginko. So:

>>Both stimulants and alcohol can contribute to a loss of coordination and balance, and can affect the body's ability to regulate temperature.
>>Ginko effects may keep you to stay awake and alert longer, extending the length of time of drinkin and possibly increasing the amount of drinks.

Just some concern though, be careful while taking Ginko as it is known to have effects of "blood thinner". Bleeding is possible bad effect- be pretty cautious.
