You really need to ask your doctor to refer you to a consultant obstetrician to answer this question - hopefully your blood pressure was just an unlucky event last time and a planned c-section or normal birth will be possible next time.
I had a horrific emergency section with my first child - we both could have died (but were thankfully OK) - and I had a wonderful planned c-section the second time around with no problems. I was referred to a consultant obstetrician the second time around for counseling and she put my fears at rest.
Good luck!

every pregnancy and child birth is different. What does your doctor have to say about this...??
I would discuss this all with your doctor. Their might be some precautions they can do for you to help you have a better birthing experience. You might be considered high risk a second time around.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Good question. I had an emergency c-section too because of a prolapsed cord and we'd LOVE to try for a second child in a few years. I'm very insecure.
Maybe you can find an understanding doctor.

And wasn't he worth it? If you really want a child have one as long as all the docs and nurses are aware of you last birth you shouldn't have a prob. Ask your midwife if she has any words of wisdom.

I would think very hard about that one. Knowing the problems you had with the last one could help the Drs. prevent similar problems from occurring again. I would talk with my ob/gyn before trying to get pregnant again.

4 months ago I lost nearly half the blood in my body giving birth to my dd. They have told us to wait at least a year to let everything settle down, but it hasn't put me off and we are currently planning on when to start TTC!

THIS IS A PERSONAL CHOICE, THAT I THINK YOU SHOULD BE DISCUSSING WITH YOUR HUSBAND AND YOUR DOCTOR.
YOUR ABSOLUTLY RIGHT THOUGH, EACH PREGNANCY IS VERY DIFFERENT, BUT LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, YOU HAVE 2 (IM ASSUMING HEALTHY) CHILDREN, WHO NEED THEIR MOTHER, WHAT IF SOMETHING DID HAPPEN TO YOU, BECAUSE YOU WANTED ANOTHER CHILD, HOW DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD FEEL?
I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, AND IF YOU DO DECIDE TO HAVE ANOTHER, THEN I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD
