I recently had my top two wisdom teeth taken out and my dentist is sending me to another dentist to get my bottom 2 wisdom teeth out.I was wondering is there a different procedure in taking the bottom ones and taking the top ones out?

I heard a lot of people say that you are suppose to get stitches after getting your wisdom teeth pulled.However-I did not get any stitches in when they pulled my top 2 out.

obviously your dentist has seen the ex-rays and your bottom teeth will be more complicated to remove , that's why he's suggested you visit another dentist who is probably more experienced and possibly a surgeon and not just a regular dentist.

no it should be the same procedure. you should've asked your dentist why he was referring you to someone else! but um i didn't receive stiches after i had my wisdom teeth taken out.. i did receive stitches when i had oral surgery and they cut my gums open...but yeah.. make sure you ice your cheeks so you don't have chipmunk cheeks like i did.. haha.. i liked mine though.. they were cute :)

THERE IS NOT THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN THE TECHNIQUE. YOUR DENTIST REFERED YOU OUT BECAUSE HE FELT MORE COMFORTABLE THAT SOMEONE ELSE WOULD DO A BETTER JOB FOR YOU.
