I've seen plenty of beehives here, but no deacons besides myself... Is anyone else a deacon?

Priests are not deacons!!! Priests are 16 or 17, and deacons are 12 or 13! How would that work?

I don't know if anyone else is a deacon, but I'm a beehive if that helps at all.

In the qualifications of a deacon, 1 Timothy 3:12 says, "Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well."

I have never met a 12 year old that met these qualifications.

I'm a YW President, but my husband and I had the entire Deacon's Quorum at our house Friday night for an all-night movie session. They were great lads, such good examples. They cleaned up after themselves and did some service for us (assembled a bunk-bed). Deacons are the best. They get all moody and miserable when they get to be Teachers.

Former deacon; I realized the deviations from God's word in the 'sect' I was in. I tried to change, they would not change then, so I left it (a few days later) they withdrew from me etc. (Maybe asking during the worship service if I could refute the false doctrine given by the 'preacher' had something to do with it too)! I have attended a few other sects since then, but 'they' seem to have the similar flaws (just not quite as many) currently.

most deacons do not qualify by the definition that Paul gave. So there are less here than even they think.

My husband and I were Deacons of a church we attended .. I believe that title is thrown around and abused by the church ..I don't see it as very realistic when a big part of the church is not in the will of God ....
