Exactly. Diversity is not good any more. One ethnicity is spreading like an unstoppable cancer and will eventually dominate.
Our founding fathers did NOT expect people coming by the millions to BE Mexicans in America but never want to BE AMERICANS.
Don't use xenophobia or racism as a defense against factual information. Do the math.

In the end it should be what is good for the citizens of this country, not the immigrants be they ilegal or llegal, no matter how hard working or well intended, or is it ?. Being I live in Miami, I have watched the city go from being a white, non Hispanic city, to a city with the Hispanics being the majority. In the end it's about the battles of the wills. The Hispanics demanded and received the city they wanted and most non Hispanics moved out. Is this going to be the future of American? Some cities such as New York blended the both, but most cities have not.
I know I have not answered the question, but I go back to who's country is this. The only answer I can say is depends on who can demand and get what they want.

It is highly doubtful that Los Angeles, or any other city in the United States will ever be 99% hispanic. There aren't even any Mexican citties that are 99% hispanic. There is much les diversity than people imagine. Diversity, in and of iteslf is a good thing. Homogeneity would be incredibly boring.

Too much of *anything* is not good.
I could never understand why anyone would want to go someplace where they're not wanted whether it be a party, a gathering or a country.
Funny, the U.S. is the most "diverse" country in the world, I don't think we need anymore "diversity" from third world countries.
**If "diversity" is such a "good" thing then why aren't other countries engaging in it?**
It just seems to be another ploy to manipulate us by people who want to sneak into our country.
Whether the U.S. is "diverse" or not "diverse" is really no-one else's business.
If you were to start criticising another country's "diverseness" they would tell you to stop (interfering) in their internal affairs.
What gives non U.S. Citizens any right to criticise us about our own country?
What we do in our own country is our business, not theirs.
And Illegal Aliens have nothing to do with "diversity."
*That's a Law Enforcement issue.*
Sneaking into a foreign country to try to get citizenship by having a child in that country, stealing welfare, medical care or any type of benefits is not "diversity", it's a criminal act.
Also, we can have "diversity" without it involving immigration.
You can have plenty of "diversity" without being invaded by third world countries.
Does anyone in their right mind think that the U.S. is (not) "diverse?"
When someone tries to* force* it on you it's no longer "diversity" is it?
Also, "Hispanic" is not a "Race" it's an "ethnic" group.
You can't play a "racecard" where none exists!

No. People are taught that it is good in an effort to reduce racism, but too much leads to a tower of babel where there is no national culture to hold the nation together. The world has wars becuase of dievrsity, and being diverse will not end war. It will only create like conflicts on a domestic scale.

Diversity is good. LA will still be diverse even if 99% of its population is Hispanic. Hispanics are very diverse people's. Within the Hispanic peoples their exsists culture diversity, religious diversity, music diversity, custom diversity, ritual diversity, literature diversity, etc....
So as one can see Hispanics are diverse in many ways!!!!!!

You make a good point. Do you remember anything about the immigration act of 1965 /
prior to that we had a plan . immigrants came legally in equal ethnic number so no one ethnicity would take over. We strived for balance and assimilation .
You see the mess we have now and have just about lost our country as we once knew it. So,we have already passed the enough point.

Diversity give life variety and interest. That is good.
It must NEVER be allowed to change those principles established by our Founding Fathers. That would destroy America!
That would remove the HOPE OF MANKIND from the world forever!

Yes it is. The US would be much better off without Los Angeles. In all of my travels, people outside of the US have such a distorted view of the US because of the crap LA pumps out every year in the form of mindless media (movies, sit-coms, etc....).
