I've been a long sufferer of headaches & have gone through the gammut of "alternatives" to medications. Here are some of the therapies I have used:
1) Chiropractics
2) Biofeedback (Retrains your body to relax)
3) Accupressure
You can actually do this yourself. Find the painful spots and apply deep pressure for about 30 sec-1 min. Keep repeating this until the pain subsides.
4) Ice therapy---take an icecube and rub it around on the painful area...yes, it will melt (keep a washcloth on you)
5) Place a cool washcloth over your eyes
6) Accupuncture
7) Massage
8) Practice Meditation/Yoga

The key is to find out what sort of headache you are trying to treat. Is it tension, migraine, muscular (as from your neck) or sinus? It is best to treat the underlying cause so you won't experience headaches. Tension headaches are the far most common, so if you get these you need to relax and try one or more of the suggestions listed above.
Good Luck

While I am not sure of the type of headache that you have, you might try going to bed and sleeping for a couple of hours. I get migraines and sleep helps me alot. I also put a wet washcloth over my eyes while I am sleeping.
You might try to take a bath or a shower to relax. another way to get rid of aheadache is to find somelplace in the country and just sit and enjoy the quiet around you.
Good luck getting rid of the headache.

Depends on a lot of things, but first drink some water. The most common cause of a headache is simple dehydration. That's why hangovers are so blindingly painful. Heat or cold packs can work wonders, too. You didn't say where it hurts or what you've done up to this point. That could affect the treatment, too.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; WORRY, spicy food, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, cocoanut water, salads, milk, rice and good sleep will help you. You will have to note down what suits and what not.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Go find some pots and bang them together next to your ear, then call up a friend and when they answer keep saying "What i can't hear you!" so that they yell into the phone. that should make your headache all better.
